How can you fight in that?

Sometimes you just have to do a really cliche'd picture, just for fun. This is mine. Some parts of it is completely rushed, and it's visible, but it was just for fun anyway. Towards the end of it it wasn't really all that fun anymore, so I finished it fast.

Just what it looks like: Elf girl who is supposedly a warrior, but with makeup and dressed so minimally that she'd be deadly wounded as soon as the tip of a sword even touched her. I planned to have that too-big-to-carry sword as well, but I'm not in the mood to paint swords. But I did have the "pieces-of-clothing-with-no-apparent-function-besides-looking-cool". The blue thing on her knee, which was supposed to look cooler. (But I didn't manage to paint the knee either, so I kept it.) The silly belt buckle thing on her top. Those are only cool with the right pieces of clothing. The belt that can't really hold anything up, and the total lack of armour. Even more cliche'd would be to go for the chainmail bikini, but it doesn't really fit the animeish style.

I was debating with myself whether to put it in anime or in fantasy, but for me it's not quite anime. Even though it looks like it, somewhat. And it's definitely fantasy, what with the elf ears and all that...

Anyway. Don't take this too seriously.

Brilliant! This style of character design has always irritated me, as well.

Although an accurate design, while surely having some above-average muscle mass, wouldn't necessarily be big and buff. Especially not elves, who are never buff, male or female, but that's a separate issue. Male knights and the like weren't necessarily all that buff, either. Swords and armor aren't actually nearly as heavy as people tend to think.
